DescriptionKforce's client in Miami, FL is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Network Engineer to support and maintain critical network infrastructure in a fast-paced operational environment. This individual will serve as a key member of the IT team, providing hands-on network engineering support while working independently and collaborating across multiple business functions. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable operating autonomously, takes ownership of issues from start to finish, and thrives in an environment where teamwork, communication, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed are highly valued.Key Responsibilities:* Design, implement, monitor, and support enterprise network infrastructure* Troubleshoot complex networking issues involving routing, switching, wireless, and connectivity* Maintain and optimize LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless environments* Support network performance, reliability, and security initiatives* Collaborate with infrastructure, security, operations, and business teams to resolve technical challenges* Participate in network upgrades, hardware refreshes, and new technology deployments* Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures* Provide proactive recommendations for network improvements and efficiencies* Support incident response and problem resolution efforts as needed* Take ownership of issues through completion, regardless of scope or complexityRequirements* 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience* Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies* Experience supporting enterprise network environments* Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independently* Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools* Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN technologies* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervisionPreferred Qualifications:* Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent* Experience with Cisco networking technologies* Experience supporting mission-critical operations environments* Exposure to network security technologies and best practices* Experience with wireless networking solutionsWhat Will Make Someone Successful:* Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership* Comfortable working independently and making decisions* Team-first mentality and positive attitude* Strong interpersonal and communication skills* Adaptable and willing to assist wherever neededJob TypeContractCompensation40 - $40
