As a Video Game Tester, you will play a vital role in identifying bugs and ensuring quality control for various gaming platforms. Key Responsibilities Play and evaluate video games across multiple platforms (PC, consoles, mobile, etc.) to identify bugs, glitches, and issues. Provide detailed feedback on game mechanics, user interfaces, and overall gameplay. Reproduce identified issues and document them in a clear, organized manner for the development team. Work closely with developers and other team members to ensure bugs are addressed in a timely manner. Test new features, gameplay changes, and other updates to ensure functionality and quality before release. Participate in scheduled meetings to discuss progress, findings, and necessary improvements. Contribute to the improvement of the game development process by suggesting enhancements and improvements based on testing feedback. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong passion for video games with a deep understanding of different gaming genres. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot even the smallest glitches or issues. Ability to work independently and effectively manage time in a remote work environment. Strong written communication skills to document issues and feedback clearly and concisely. Basic knowledge of game development, software testing, and debugging tools is a plus. Comfortable using various gaming platforms and devices, including PC, gaming consoles, and mobile devices. A proactive and problem-solving mindset to assist developers in resolving bugs efficiently. Experience No prior professional experience required, but experience playing video games on various platforms is essential. Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) or similar tools is a plus. Experience in QA testing or game development would be a bonus but is not necessary. Working Hours Flexible hours with the ability to work according to your schedule, as long as deadlines are met. Full-time and part-time positions available. Must be available for occasional team meetings or feedback sessions during standard business hours (Eastern Time).
