This role is four days onsite at our Seneca One Buffalo, NY location, with the flexibility to work from home one day per weekOverview: The Snowflake Platform Engineering team builds software for data engineers bringing data in and out of M&T's central data ecosystem. We are a growing team, currently supporting multiple teams within our department, with plans to expand our usership to more departments over the next year. With that, we need to build the guardrails to make our software resilient at scale. This role will participate in design, delivery, and evolution of core platform capabilities, including framework enhancements, new data engineering patterns, performance optimization, and resiliency improvements.A Software Engineer on this team develops python application code and tests, works with senior engineers to design applications, and supports the existing applications and usersPrimary Responsibilities:Build and support core ingestion / transformation / deployment frameworksDrive standardization across Medallion architecture patternsPartner with product teams on performance + resiliency improvementsSupport production stability and platform governanceUnderstand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
