Position Summary We are seeking a Health Information Management Clerk to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the imaging team by obtaining prior records, maintaining accurate data in our RIS system, and ensuring the privacy and accuracy of patient information. Key Responsibilities Contact outside facilities to obtain prior imaging for comparison studies Upload and manage outside images via PowerShare electronic records system Answer multi-line phone system courteously and direct inquiries appropriately Process incoming and outgoing CDs and other image records Compile, track, and update data related to prior imaging records Maintain organized and complete medical records Assist with other clerical duties and special projects as needed Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and patient privacy standards Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required Experience Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting Familiarity with medical terminology Skills & Abilities Intermediate computer skills, especially in medical record systems Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent organization and multitasking abilities Ability to work in a team and independently Understanding of privacy and HIPAA regulations Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and reviewing records Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Working Conditions Work is performed in an office and/or clinical setting Regular interaction with staff, patients, and external facilities Occasional exposure to patient health information Benefits As an employee of Radiology Associates, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Affordable Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays Paid Life and AD&D Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Travel Assistance and Identity Theft Assistance Employee Recognition Programs 401(k) Retirement Program Employee Referral Bonus Program Additional Information: Equal Opportunity Employer: We comply with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations, and ordinances.
